Gladys Marie Kays, 96, Mooresville, died November 8, 2007 in Meadow Lakes Nursing Home.  Mrs. Kays was born on October 11, 1911 in Boone County, Indiana, to the late Luther A. and Bertha M. (Kinnamon) Mantooth.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morton Floyd Kays and a son, Morton Luther Kays.

Survivors include her son, Larry V. Kays of Indianapolis; daughter, Loretta Woodard of Mooresville; sister, Ethel Byrd of Greenback, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren.  

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2007 in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, with visitation on Friday, November 9, 2007, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral chapel.  Interment will be in Mooresville Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
