Marian Carlisle Johnson, 81, Mooresville, Indiana, died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Meadow Lakes, Mooresville.  Mrs. Johnson was born on February 17, 1926 in Mooresville, Indiana to the late Omar and Floy (Crigler) Carlisle.  

Mrs. Johnson was the widow of Arnold Lee Johnson to whom she married on June 24,

1951.  He preceded her in death in 1992.  She was also preceded in death by a brother,

Elvin Carlisle. 

Mrs. Johnson was employed for many years as chief operator at Union Telephone Company, later working for a number of years at Citizens Bank, Mooresville.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mooresville, Kappa Kappa Sigma, and the Order of the Eastern Star. 

Survivors include her daughters, Marcia Shipley (Alvin) of Camby, Indiana and Melinda S. Baughman (Phil) of Mooresville, Indiana; grandchildren, Erik Shipley, Sarah Richardson and Sam Baughman.  

Friends and family will gather on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana.  Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, in the funeral chapel.  Pastor Dennis Payton will officiate.  Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Donor’s favorite local charity
